My life revolves around the words, joy and accomplishment that are present in my life at home and at school. My family circle includes my husband, Tim, and our three daughters and their families. Daughters Laurie and Wendy live in Virginia and Amy is closer to us, in San Jose. We are blessed with 7 grandchildren, ranging in age from 6 to 18, and traveling to see them is a high priority in our lives. I also enjoy traveling to discover the wonders of the world, like recent trips to Egypt and Jordan. My hobbies include snorkeling, swimming, walking, reading, and sharing happy times with good friends. Vieja Valley School is my other "home" where I have the opportunity to share my love of learning with my children here. Since 1974, I have worn many hats, including parent, reading specialist, librarian, lower grade classroom teacher, and interim principal. Currently, I am a reading specialist, who also handles the responsibilities of the English Language Coordinator at our school. Over the years, I have enjoyed teaching so many children. When asked, "When do you plan to retire?", my answer has been to ask myself, "What do I enjoy doing most?" My answer is, "Teaching my children at Vieja Valley!"
